STEPHANIE

Meet my beautiful friend, Stephanie. She helped me out with my final project for this quarter by modeling for an editorial fashion spread. The ones I used for that are mixed in with others that I liked. Love some new locations I found!

ABERCROMBIE

Did you know Connor's an abercrombie model? Well at least for my next assignment he was! And he is soooo good at it. :) We had to create a billboard, transit, and postcard ad for a company and after taking photos with Connor in his abercrombie sweatshirt holding his football with his all American boy look, I knew what to do. Everyone agrees, he definitely can have a career in modeling!

THE CREW

It was so much fun spending the afternoon with all of these adorable kids! They are best buds and they loved playing together. They were all so sweet and such troopers! So... meet the crew. I feel like this first picture really sums up the day, so full of fun and energy! :)

MOTHER NATURE

Wow! Week 9 already in school. One more week of classes, finals, and then my last winter break - EVER! Still strange. I don't think this whole graduating thing will hit until next year when I'm not moving back to Athens in the Fall. Anyways, next assignment - digital image. It had to be photoshopped to make an unreal image. It was interesting to see how all of the different people in my class interpreted the assignment, but here's my interpretation. Mother Nature advertisement using none other than my beautiful mom! :) Lots of post coming soon with the wrapping up of my assignments and some super cute kids!

THE KNOT

This assignment was to create the cover and inside spread of a magazine of our choice. After shooting Jasmine + John's wedding, I knew theirs would be perfect in the knot magazine. And if you're getting married soon, I highly recommend checking out the knot for great wedding ideas!

JASMINE + JOHN

Jasmine and John were such a joy to photograph on their wedding day. It was the perfect fall day filled with the beautiful colors with changing leaves and blue skies. It was a very intimate wedding with everything from getting ready to the reception taking place on John's amazing parents property. It was such an honor to be a part of my cousin, and her now husband's, special day. And check out my Granny getting her groove on! :) So enjoy this little sneak peek!

SWINE FLU: DON'T BLAME THE PIG!

Don't be concerned, even though the flu is running rampant over college campuses, I have not gotten sick (knock on wood!) yet. Our next assignment was to create an editorial spread on an issue and with the flu being all around me, I decided to play on that. I wanted to mess with the fact that people were scared to eat pork products with fear of getting this so called "swine flu." So of course, I made pork look sick. I based it on an article from Time called Swine Flu: Don't Blame the Pig!

SPECIAL DELIVERY...

For You! This is my most recent assignment which was much different than past assignments because it didn't involve a photo shoot. We had to create a self-promo piece that we would potentially send out to clients to get business. It was a fun assignment and I enjoyed doing it. I used a textured canvas like paper to print everything on which gave it a very unique feel. The don't forget part has the green polka dot magnet you can take off and use. It included a the large postcard seen in the front with a session guide on the back, a don't forget magnet with what to wear on the back, a business card, the four polaroid inspired photos pictured at the bottom, all sealed in a large vellum envelope. These gave me ideas for possible graduation announcements for the end of this year!

sara

Sara was such a good sport with the whole wearing a mustache thing that I wanted to take some just for fun photos after the mustache shoot. There's so much color in these, I love it! I had a really hard time picking favorites so I posted just SOME of my favorites. We had fun running around finding fun colored buildings and blowing bubbles. Sara is a photographer and really loves elephants... if you couldn't tell :)

the mustache emporium

Getting closer and closer to graduation, our guidelines for photo shoots are getting more open. My first assignment at school was to create a black and white advertisement for a publication. It could be for a real or made up company. So I decided to go the fun route and do an ad for fake mustaches! I actually googled "the mustache emporium" as a joke and was astonished when I found out it was a real company. Here's my final ad and some out takes from the shoot with Sara. An after session of Sara will be up soon thats filled with lots of really fun color!

school

It's so ironic how I managed to stumble upon this picture as I finish up my first week of my last year of school. This is the photo from my first day of kindergarten with my older brother and our beautiful Astro van we used to have. :) Lots of new stuff coming soon as I start doing advertisements and editorials for photo assignments!

the great potato harvest

As I've said before, my parents are growing a garden along with the help of my grandpa and his farm. I have been waiting to dig the potatoes all summer and this past week it was finally time! I think because I have never grown potatoes before it was an extra special occasion, so of course I had to document the fun. We have gotten so many fresh fruits and vegetables from this garden with everything from corn, watermelon, swiss chard, lima beans, onions, and more! Both my family and my grandpa have enjoyed this garden so much this year and I'll get to keep enjoying it at school because we canned a lot of the extras. I think everyone should grow a garden. It's such a rewarding experience to see it grow from a tiny seed into some delicious produce. This is only less than half of the potatoes. There were SO many! And of course this was only a fraction of the tomatoes. Those things never stop growing! Then we got to watch the beautiful sunset on the drive home. I'm going to miss all of this when I head back to school in a week...

grace

If you have been following my blog since I started it, you probably noticed how many times I have changed around my header and the look of my name. I have a super hard time settling on one thing unless I love it. Well, I have found something I love. For now at least :)
I figured I should put a little explanation to why I choose grace. When I was younger I used to think of fake names I would use if I became famous or started my own business but now I think, why not use the perfectly good name I was given? So, my middle name is Grace, which was given to me because it is my grandmother's middle name. I have always loved my middle name. I also choose not to go by Albrecht because I know that one day I will no longer be an Albrecht in writing.
Grace is such a beautiful word. I recently looked it up in the dictionary and was in awe at it's definitions...
1. elegance or beauty of form, manner, movement, or action
2. the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God
My photography is meant to embody the word of "grace" and tell the story of a day in the life of you.

williamson family

There's been a lot of this gang on my blog between pictures of the kids and Peggy's senior pictures, but I can't get enough of them! This time I got to photograph the whole family including the adorable Pixie! Dogs always make for interesting pictures :) They are always fun to be around and are up for anything which makes taking pictures of them a breeze.

grandkids

I recently photographed a big family get together for my aunt and uncle. There were lots of people and lots of pictures! So I just wanted to give a sneak peek of the grandkids. The boy on the left in the first picture and the girl are my cousin's kids. And the little boy below is my other cousin's son. Can you tell I have a huge family? :) Enjoy! The rest will be ready soon.

peggy

Peggy is so cute! You may recognize her from some pictures with her brother and sister from a while ago. Peggy is graduating high school this year and I got the pleasure of photographing her. She was up for anything and so easy to photograph. I have SO many favorites but here are just a few... Good luck with your senior year!

whitney

Whitney is another lovely blue eyed girl that I get to shoot. We ran around town taking some pictures just for fun. Here are some favorites. Her boyfriend jumped in for a few at the end.

jen + tyler

I have been so busy lately but I am finally getting around to posting a few favorites from the wedding. I shot my first wedding by myself and it was quite an experience! Jen and Tyler were such a sweet couple and have a pretty purple wedding. They were creative and put purple sand along the walkway. They also had mugs for all the groomsmen with muscle arms as the handle. They were a riot!

1st to 21st

Today is my 21st birthday. I have grown up so much over the years and I am excited to see where life takes me as I am about to start my final year of college. Thanks for all of the birthday wishes and a special thanks to all my family and friends who have been with me the past 21 years of my life! Now here's a photo from my 1st birthday and 20 years later, my 21st birthday. Haha, I like how Zeebs, our dog, got in the picture without us even knowing it.

We went on a little hike for my birthday at the new Hills and Dales trails. Caught some pretty shots of some leaves.
